Junior SunSafe®
Protecting Young Skin.
Purpose of this report: To verify sun protection products that prioritise children's skin considerations, ingredient transparency, ease of use and family-friendly design.
The SunSafe® Junior category highlights products that align with The Sunscreen List™ approach to children's sun protection.
Not all children have the same skin type, sensitivities or sun protection needs.
That's why we created our own assessment framework.
What Are The Junior SunSafe® Report Criteria:
• Age guidance ≥6 months displayed
• Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
• Irritant minimisation
• Eye sting considerations
• Child-friendly packaging and application
• Current scientific evidence
The Verdict:
Every SunSafe® Junior product has been independently reviewed against our current children's sun protection criteria.
The Facts:
Children's skin is thinner and more vulnerable to UV damage than adult skin. Establishing good sun protection habits early can help reduce cumulative lifetime UV exposure.
The SunSafe® Junior category was created to help families identify products designed with children's needs in mind.
The category assesses age guidance, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, ingredient selection, irritant minimisation, eye sting considerations and child-friendly packaging features such as pumps, easy applicators and reduced spill risk.
Products are also reviewed against current scientific evidence and available manufacturer information.
The Sunscreen List™ celebrates the brands doing the right thing for people and the planet - above and below the surface.
